The Merchants Committee advocates for a positive economic environment for local merchants and business owners in downtown Cary. We work closely with the Town of Cary and the Chamber of Commerce to ensure the needs of small business are being communicated to those that can make a difference.
At the beginning of each fiscal year, the Events Committee submits to the Board of Directors for approval, committee goals and identifies up to three (3) main events along with a proposed budget that it recommends for the Association to either produce or co-produce. The committee is responsible for making policy and procedure recommendations to the Board of Directors to be followed by future volunteers for the purpose of insuring the continuity of subsequent events.
The technology committee is responsible for managing and updating the website, social media and electronic communication with members.
The Membership committee is responsible for recruiting, supporting, and engaging both potential and existing members of the Association. The Membership Committee is also responsible for maintaining an accurate and current membership database and helping communicate events and programs to both members and the local community.
At times, we’ll receive requests for support from the Town of Cary or other nonprofit organizations. The Volunteer Committee is made up of individuals who are open to donating their time towards these causes on a consistent basis. If you’re looking for a way to get involved in the community in a structured group setting, this committee is for you.
