Our August Membership meeting will be August 8th at 8am via ZOOM. Our guest speaker will be Cary Town Manager, Sean Stegall.

Join us for the 1st Half of 2020 in Review with our very own Town Manager Sean Stegall. How has Covid-19 changed the way we govern our community? How has Covid-19 affected the way we communicate with Residents, Business and Non-Profits? Hot topics like “What can our members do to encourage Town Council to consider keeping the old Downtown Library Site as part of the Park?” “What will the “New Normal” look like for Town Staff?” “What is the current state of our recycling program and what do you see for its future?” “Why are we not encouraging businesses to go back to work, but safely?” “How has the Black Lives Matters Movement changed the way we govern?” And ask more questions of your own. Join us for a lively and informative session.

Born in Greece and raised in Galesburg, IL, Sean R. Stegall brings more than a quarter-century of experience to successfully address the greatest challenges and opportunities for America’s local governments. As he kicks off his 5th year as Cary’s Town Manager and CEO, and under ordinary circumstances, this would translate into Sean’s continuing to lead the technical and
adaptive implementation the 2040 Imagine Cary Community Plan, which addresses Cary’s shift from a fast-growing to a maturing community and was crafted with the help
of many Downtown Cary residents and businesses. And while Imagine Cary continues to provide the framework for actions at Town Hall, the realities of today keep Sean focused on Cary’s response to the COVID-19 global pandemic, to which his approach is to monitor, learn, and adapt – then monitor, learn, and adapt. Sean is a member of Cary Rotary and enjoys watching documentaries, collecting fountain pens, playing golf, and spending time with 14-year old Emma, his daughter with wife Michele.
